Congratulations to our vascular surgery interns, Mary Binko and Marissa Jarosinski, who were recipients of the Senior Surgery awards for the Pitt Med graduating class of 2023. Mary Binko received the Doris B. Maxwell, MD, Prize for Outstanding Performance in Surgery presented to the senior woman medical student who has demonstrated outstanding performance in a surgical discipline. Marissa Jarosinksi received the Charles C. Moore, MD, Teaching Award for Excellence in Surgical Teaching, which is presented to the member of the surgical house staff, chosen by the senior students, adjudged the most able surgical teacher.
All winners were recognized at a special awards luncheon at the William Pitt Union Ballroom, 19 May 2023.
