The University of Pittsburgh Staff Council presented an appreciation award to Chancellor Gallagher for his dedication and service to the University of Pittsburgh staff. In 2022, Patrick Gallagher, Pitt’s 18th chancellor, announced he will step down from the position he’s held since 2014. The University of Pittsburgh will welcome Joan T.A. Gabel as the new Chancellor this summer.
