Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh
In addition to having everything I wanted in a residency program (excellent clinical & surgical training; dedicated, invested, and kind residents & faculty; and ample research opportunities & support), UPMC's program has some unique research features: There are research rotations in the intern and PGY-2 years and opportunities for research support after the research years.
Non-Academic Accomplishments
I love traveling, hiking, and cookies (ideally all at once). I'm also a black belt in Shotokan karate.
