Why I Chose the UPMC General Surgery Residency Program
I’m a Pitt Med grad, and I chose to stay for residency in Pittsburgh for several reasons. First, the people! The surgery department is supportive and welcoming, and it felt like the right fit for me. Second, the training is excellent across a wide array of specialties. Finally, I was looking for a program that would assist my growth as surgical education researcher and educator, and I appreciate both the tremendous support for research endeavors and the program’s strong relationship with the medical school.
Non-Academic Accomplishments
Outside of the hospital, I enjoy baking and walks with my dog.
