NIH Awards New Grant to Dr. Theodore Yuo

A new sub-award for research to be conducted by Theodore Yuo, MD, has been approved for funding.
Dr. Yuo is the principal investigator (PI) on the project, “Comparing Surgical and Endovascular Arteriovenous Fistula Creation" which will be funded by the National Institues of Health.
2023 Frisch Staff Professional Development Award Open for Applications

The University of Pittsburgh Staff Council is pleased to announce the annual Frisch Professional Development Award. Established in 2016 by the University's Staff Council, the Staff Professional Development Award defrays the cost of approved professional development opportunities for eligible Pitt staff members. The award is open to full and part time staff members at all five of Pitt's campuses. Applications are open through 28 April 2023.

Kelly Isbell Selected for iSRA Training Program Award

Congratulations to Kelly Isbell, Pre-Award Administrator and member of our Research Administration team, who received a financial sponsorship award from the University of Pittsburgh to participate in the Society of Research Administrators International (iSRA) Departmental Administration Intensive Training Program. The program is a six-week course designed for departmental early-career research administrators who directly support investigators and research teams and will be held from November 3 to December 15, 2021.
Research Administration and Finance Team Celebrate Pitt’s Homecoming

Every year, our Surgery & Anesthesiology Research Administration and Finance team celebrates Pitt’s Homecoming with a luncheon and “dip-off.” All the staff members make their favorite dip and the team votes on the best one. This year’s winner was Matt Lacko of Anesthesiology and his jalapeno popper dip. ROC the Pitt Panther even made a special guest appearance!
